68-year-old man's body found in freezer in Pulaski County; woman arrested

A body was found in a freezer Tuesday night in Pulaski County after a missing-person investigation led sheriff's deputies to a home on Happy Ridge Road.

Deputies were executing a search warrant as a part of a search for Gary Ray Jenks, 68, of Nancy, at his home when they found the body, Deputy Karl Clinard said. There were chemicals in the freezer with the body.

The body was that of a white man, but his identity had not been confirmed, Clinard said.

Teresa Owens, 51, was arrested Tuesday night on a charge of tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse, Clinard said. She lives at the same home as Jinks.
