Three people were indicted on murder charges Tuesday in the slaying of a Lexington man on Oct. 5, 2014.
Caitlyn Marie Conway, 22, Charles Bruce Patton III, 22, and Demarcus R. Harris, are all charged with first-degree robbery in addition to murder in the shooting death of Darnell Bates, according to circuit court documents.
Bates, 36, was shot to death at his home in the 400 block of Addie Street about 4:45 a.m. when two men forced their way into the house. He of a gunshot wound to his stomach.
According to a petition for a search warrant, a witness told police that Conway went to Bates' home with him, and once inside the home she called Patton and Harris and let them inside.

A fight then began the two men and Bates, and Bates was shot during the struggle, the document said.
Conway, Patton and Harris also are charged with two counts of first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary in unrelated cases. Harris is also charged with being a persistent felony offender.
Conway and Harris are being held in the Fayette County jail on a $40,000 bond each. They are scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 15.
A warrant has been issued for Harris' arrest.
