Lexington police are searching for a suspect involved in a bank robbery Monday morning.
Police say a man entered the National City Bank at 2309 Woodhill Drive about 9:40 a.m. and demanded money from the teller. He was possibly armed with a handgun, Lexington police Sgt. Ann Gutierrez said.
The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police described the suspect as a black man, about 5 feet, 10 inches to 6-feet tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a khaki knit cap with a small bill and a Kentucky-blue hooded rain suit that police say he might have removed shortly after he fled.
