Lexington police arrested a 15-year-old who allegedly broke into the School for the Creative and Performing Arts on Monday morning.
Officers were dispatched to the school after an alarm went off at 12:39 a.m. Monday, Lexington Police Sgt. Ann Gutierrez said. They saw a person inside the building and called for a K-9 unit.
The teenager, who has not been identified because he is a juvenile, came out of the building before the other unit arrived, Gutierrez said. The suspect told officers he got into SCAPA through an unlocked door. He was arrested for third-degree burglary.
