Police are searching for a Fayette County jail inmate who did not return after a court order allowed him to leave the jail for three hours.
Cody M. Moore, 20, was released from Fayette County jail Tuesday at 4 p.m. and was supposed to return at 7 p.m., said Sgt. Jennifer Taylor of the Fayette County jail. It wasn't immediately clear why Moore was released.
Moore was initially arrested Sept. 16 on charges of first-degree burglary, fleeing and evading police, terroristic threatening, resisting arrest, two counts of receiving stolen property and two counts of theft of a controlled substance.
Another inmate who left under similar circumstances in June is still missing.
