Two people charged in a Floyd County plot to fake a car crash and defraud insurance companies have pleaded guilty, and another has filed a motion to plead guilty.
Robin Shumaker and Luther Johnson pleaded guilty this month, and this week Burnett Little filed a motion for rearraignment, signaling an intention to plead guilty.
The three were indicted in September, charged with renting a U-Haul, filling it with Shumaker's belongings and driving it twice into a Crown Victoria on U.S. 119 in Floyd County.
Sentencing for Shumaker and Johnson was set for April. The five others charged in the ring are scheduled to appear in court in January.
