Lexington man charged in ex-girlfriend's rape, kidnapping

A Lexington man was charged Tuesday with holding his ex-girlfriend captive in a hotel room for days and raping her several times.

Bryan D. Brown, 29, faces charges of first-degree rape, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, first-degree assault, violation of a protective order, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, intimidating a witness and theft by unlawful taking.

The woman told police her ex-boyfriend, Brown, had held her captive in a room at the hotel for a couple of days and raped her several times, Lexington police Lt. Doug Pape said.

Police received a call at 8:30 p.m. Monday about an alleged assault at the Extended Stay America near Richmond and New Circle roads, Pape said.
