Jackson County men indicted on counterfeiting charges

Two Jackson County men face federal charges involving counterfeit money.

Roland Keith Ramey, 39, and Curtis Lee Jackson, 40, were indicted by a federal grand jury in Lexington on Thursday.

The indictment alleges that Ramey made counterfeit Federal Reserve notes in varying denominations between November 2008 and March 2009, and that he and Justice passed the fake money off as real.

If convicted, the men face up to 20 years in prison.
