Police have arrested a man suspected of leading them on a chase Wednesday through Boyle and Mercer counties.
Harrodsburg police found Delbert "Pete" Jones about 6 a.m. Friday at a motel. He has been charged with multiple counts of wanton endangerment, and police said they are pursuing a charge of attempted murder of two police officers.
Jones is to be arraigned on Monday. He is being held in the Boyle County jail.
The chase began about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday near Danville, where a Boyle County sheriff's deputy tried to stop the car at Brook Cove and Ky. 33, Mercer County Sheriff Chris Kehrt said.
Police have said that Jones was wanted on a warrant for federal drug charges. Officers were trying to stop the car because investigators were told that there was a large quantity of methamphetamine inside.
