Frankfort woman charged with DUI, assault after domestic dispute

A Frankfort woman was charged Sunday with driving under the influence and first-degree assault after she allegedly struck her partner with a vehicle during an argument, Frankfort police said.

Nicola Moodley, 27, also was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failing to render aid. Moodley was being held at the Franklin County Regional Jail.

Police said the alleged assault was part of a domestic dispute between Moodley and Richard B. Long, 35, of Frankfort.

Moodley and Long were sitting in a red Toyota, arguing, when Long got out of the vehicle. Police said Moodley then struck him with the car about 3:30 p.m. Sunday on Hiawatha Trail. Long was taken to University of Kentucky Hospital to be treated for his injuries. His condition was not immediately available.
