Frankfort man charged in Pizza Hut robbery

A Frankfort man was charged Tuesday with first-degree robbery after he entered a restaurant wearing a black ski mask and demanded cash, Frankfort police said.

Edward Joseph Craine, 33, is being held at the Franklin County Regional Jail.

Witnesses told police that a man wearing all black entered the Pizza Hut at 1241 Lawrenceburg Road in Frankfort about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday and said he would shoot employees if they did not open the cash registers and a safe.

The man ran from the store, but an officer who was patrolling the area ordered him to stop. Craine then ran into a nearby wooded area where he was taken into custody.
