Danville police search for man who sexually assaulted girl

Danville police are looking for a man who is accused of binding a girl's hands and sexually assaulting her.

Shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to the 400 block of Longview Drive. They found a juvenile girl with tape around her mouth and neck, and her hands were tied with various types of cord, according to a news release.

The girl was treated at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, and she told police she had been sexually assaulted by a Hispanic man who had lived with her family for a short time.

The man is about 25 to 35 years old and has black hair. He's between 5-foot-5 inches and 5-foot-8 and 125 to 135 pounds. The man had been employed at Chinatown Buffet in Danville before the alleged assault, police said.
