2 meth labs found in Mercer homes, police say

SALVISA — Police discovered two meth labs in neighboring houses in northern Mercer County early Friday morning.

Hobert Riley was charged with manufacturing and cultivation of marijuana, said Mercer County Deputy Sheriff Wes Gaddis. Investigators say they found six marijuana plants at Riley's house on Bondville Road west of Salvisa.

Police said another meth lab was found at a neighboring house. No one has been charged in connection with the second lab. Police are in search of a suspect. Police recovered a stolen Bobcat track hoe, Gaddis said.

Kentucky State Police and the Mercer County Sheriff's Office are investigating.
