A Louisville man is accused of traveling to Lexington Monday to meet an undercover detective who he thought was a 14-year-old girl.
Gary Lynn Johnson, 38, had intended to have sex with the girl, according to court documents. He is charged with four counts of use of an electronic communications device to procure sex with a minor.
Sherelle Roberts, spokeswoman for Lexington police, said undercover detectives had been communicating with Johnson on the phone and via Web camera since June.
Johnson was being held at the Fayette County jail.
