Lexington police are investigating a rash of vandalism that left more than two dozen vehicles damaged in the Pickway subdivision off Man o' War Boulevard.

Police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said police probably would be taking reports and interviewing residents for much of the day Wednesday.

By 9:30 a.m., officers had taken 26 reports of vehicles with slashed tires and scratched paint.

The damage was reported along Foxe Basin Road and Manitoba Lane, near Nicholasville Road and Man o' War.

Sgt. Clay Combs said the first car was found vandalized at 4:30 a.m.

Investigators were trying to determine whether anyone saw or heard anything, Roberts said. Police had not named a suspect Wednesday night.
