Georgetown police continue to investigate Monday's fatal stabbing of a Georgetown man.
An autopsy conducted Tuesday found that Maxwell Oliver Pomeroy, 26, died of multiple stab wounds, Scott County Coroner John Goble said. The case is being investigated as a homicide.
Police were called Monday afternoon to a home at 515 Washington Street and found Pomeroy's body. He shared the home with a girlfriend.
Georgetown Police Lt. Robert Swanigan had no additional information on the case Wednesday morning.
