Police seek 2 in Cash Express robbery

Lexington police seek to identify two people wanted in the Thursday armed robbery of a payday lender.

Witnesses told police that a man entered the Cash Express at 565 East New Circle Road shortly before 1 p.m., showed a knife and demanded money.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect and another man, who may have served as a lookout, fled on foot.

Police later determined that the two men ran to a maroon four-door car that parked behind a nearby business.

One man was described as white with a thin build, about 20 years old and 5 feet, 7 inches in height. The other was a black man of about 150 pounds and 5 feet, 6 inches tall.
