Lexington police are trying to identify two people connected to series of gas station and convenience store burglaries in the past two months.
During the burglaries, one or two people pried open the door of the business, place cartons of cigarettes into a black duffle bag and fled. The men were wearing hooded sweatshirts, gloves and fabric masks, police said. These burglaries are consistently committed early in the morning, before the businesses open.
Detectives have been able to connect the men to burglaries at the following locations:
■ Sept. 19 and 29 at Circle K, 3469 Buckhorn Drive.
■ Oct. 23 at Circle K, 3130 Pimlico Parkway.
■ Oct. 25 at Speedway, 2910 Tates Creek Road.
■ Oct. 28 at Gulf, 4195 Tates Creek Center.
