Danville police investigate convenience store robbery

Danville police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store Thursday night.

An employee at Chills Dairy Mart, 650 E. Lexington Ave., told police that a man wearing a mask entered the store, brandished a semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash. He then ran on foot south toward Seminole Drive.

The robbery was reported shortly after 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

The man's race is unknown, but he is about 6-foot with a stocky build. He was wearing tan pants and a dark coat.
