One man is dead, two are injured in reported Lexington shooting

One man died and two were injured in an assault Tuesday at 2169 Shaker Run Road, Lexington police said.

Police were called to the scene of a possible shooting just before 4 p.m., but Commander Robert Stack said he could not confirm that the three people involved had been shot.

Shaker Run Road, off Polo Club Boulevard, is in Gleneagles subdivision in the Man o' War Boulevard-Interstate 75 area.

Stack said a visitor had found the three men in the house. Two were taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, but Stack had no information about either's condition.

The body of the third man remained in the house as of 7 p.m., and the county coroner's office had representatives at the scene.

Police said they have not identified a suspect. They are investigating whether any of the three people lived in the house, and what the relationship among them was, Stack said.

Fayette County property records list the home's owner as Greater Lexington Rental Authority. Ronnie Perry, co-owner of the company, said he had sold the house on a land contract to a Donald Adams Sr. just under a year ago.
