Pike County Rite Aid offers $10,000 reward to solve burglaries

PIKEVILLE — Rite Aid is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in three burglaries at its Robinson Creek store in Pike County.

A person broke in the store's front door and stole $20,000 worth of medication and about $1,500 in cash on Dec. 18, 22 and 28.

Surveillance video isn't good quality but seems to implicate the same person in three break-ins, said Rite Aid loss prevention District Manager Ryan Kinder.

Kentucky State Police Detective Jason Merlo and two troopers are investigating, police spokesman Trooper Shaun Little said.

"If they had just hit us once ... after the third time, we're going to do what ever we can to catch this person," Kinder said.

People with tips for the reward should call Rite Aid, who will funnel the tips to police, Kinder and Little said.

If you have information on the burglaries and are seeking a reward call Rite Aid at (859) 389-9634.
