Lexington police are investigating an armed robbery of a Paris Pike convenience store.

Police were called to a Marathon station at 2353 Paris Pike shortly after 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Lt. Scott Blakely said.

A man entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The clerk complied, then the robber ran, Blakely said.

The robber was described as a black man in his early 40s who was 5 feet, 10 inches, to 6 feet tall. He wore a gray hoodie and blue jeans.
