Nicholasville police investigate store robbery

Nicholasville police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store Tuesday morning.

A man entered Hardy's BP near the corner of Etter Drive and the U.S. 27 Bypass at 6:40 a.m., displayed a large knife and demanded money from the clerk, police said in a news release.

The clerk gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash. The man left and headed east on Etter Drive toward town. No one was injured.

The white man, who had a bandanna across his face, wore a blue hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up over his head. He also wore blue jeans and was described as 6 feet tall with a thin build.

Police are reviewing video surveillance footage.
