Lexington man charged with helping father cover up killings

The son of a Lexington man charged with killing three people has been charged with helping his father cover up the crime.

William L. Blancet Jr. is charged with one count of felony tampering with physical evidence, according a criminal citation filed in Fayette District Court.

His father, William Blancet Sr., is charged with three counts of murder in the shooting deaths of Donald L. "Donnie" Adams Sr., 57; Donald L. "Rocky" Adams Jr., 33; and Ronnie L. Sparks Jr., 28, on Jan. 4 Police have said the men were shot in a drug-related killing at the elder Adams' home on Shaker Run Road.

According to the citation, Blancet Jr. "with knowledge of a crime, assisted in the disposal of evidence regarding that crime."

Lexington Police Spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts verified that the crime was the shooting, but she said she could not discuss any details about the tampering charge.

Blancet Jr. is scheduled to be arraigned in Fayette District on Feb. 3. He has not been arrested.
