Evidence case tied to triple slaying sent to grand jury

The case of a Lexington man accused of helping his father cover up the murders of three people was waived to a grand jury Monday.

William L. Blancet Jr. is charged with one count of felony tampering with physical evidence for allegedly helping dispose of evidence of the Jan. 4 shootings of Donald L. "Donnie" Adams Sr., 57; Donald L. "Rocky" Adams Jr., 33; and Ronnie L. Sparks Jr., 28.

The shooting happened in Adams Sr.'s home on Shaker Run Road, according to court documents.

Blancet's father, William L. Blancet Sr., is charged with the slayings, which police have said were drug related.

Police have said William Blancet Jr. was at the Shaker Run Road home with his father when the shooting occurred. William Blancet Sr. was later found at his son's home on Yorktown Road.

A grand jury will determine whether to indict Blancet Jr. on the charges.
