Police investigate West Irvine pharmacy robbery

Kentucky State Police are investigating the Friday robbery of a West Irvine pharmacy.

Shortly before 10 a.m. Friday, two armed men entered the Irvine Health Mart Pharmacy, said Trooper Chris Lanham. They told the pharmacist and three employees to lie on the floor and the robbers then proceeded to steal morphine, Percocet and oxycodone. No money was taken, and no one was hurt, Lanham said.

The two had parked a GMC Jimmy in the wash bay of a nearby car wash and fled. The SUV was later found abandoned at Wisemantown United Methodist Church. The robbers were seen getting into a gray 1993 Nissan Sentra that had a license plate 067-HRT.

One suspect is described as a white male who is 5-foot-10 and was wearing blue jeans, a black ski mask and a brown jacket with a fur-lined collar.

The other suspect is described as a white male who wore a camouflaged jacket, blue jeans, a red ski mask, and a black-and-yellow backpack. He is thought to have gray and black facial hair.
