2 suspects identified in robbery of West Irvine pharmacy

Kentucky State Police have identified two suspects wanted in Friday's armed robbery of a West Irvine pharmacy.

Police have issued warrants for Freddie H. Hunter, 50, of Hi Hat in Floyd County, and his nephew Jeffery D. Hunter, 21, of Richmond.

Shortly before 10 a.m. Friday, two armed men entered Irvine Health Mart Pharmacy, Trooper Chris Lanham said. They told the pharmacist and three employees to lie on the floor, and the robbers then stole morphine, Percocet and oxycodone. No money was taken, and no one was hurt, Lanham said.

The two, who had parked a GMC Jimmy at a nearby car wash, drove away. The SUV was found abandoned at Wisemantown United Methodist Church. The men were seen getting into a silver-gray 1993 Nissan Sentra with the license plate 067-HRT.

Freddie Hunter is described as 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds. He has green eyes, black and gray hair, and a full gray beard. Jeffery Hunter is 5-11 and 148 pounds. He has blue eyes and blond hair.

Anyone with information about them or the Sentra is asked to call state police at 1-800-222-5555.
