Guilty plea to be entered in Monroe County vote-buying case

A federal judge has set a hearing to take a guilty plea from a man charged with Monroe County Judge-Executive Wilbur Graves in an alleged vote-buying conspiracy.

U.S. District Judge Joseph H. McKinley Jr., scheduled the hearing for Gary "Meathead" Bartley on Wednesday.

Bartley had a similar hearing scheduled last year but it was canceled.

Graves, Bartley, Ronald Muse and Wanda Moore allegedly took part in buying votes in the November 2006 race, in which Graves won re-election.

Muse and Moore have pleaded guilty. Graves is scheduled to go to trial March 1.
