Fayette County Public Schools officials are investigating gun and bomb threats that apparently were made on a social networking Web site.
District spokeswoman Lisa Deffendall said there were rumors circulating about threats toward Henry Clay High School students, but the school had "full assurances from law enforcement that the building is safe."
Deffendall said district officers, Lexington police and administrators were investigating the source of the rumors. She said additional officers would be on campus Tuesday.
Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said officers received calls from parents Monday night about the threats on Facebook.
