An Easter Sunday robbery at a Somerset convenience story was an inside job, Somerset police said.

Police charged Roger Dale Lanter, 32, of Eubank, and his wife, Sarah Lanter, 19, in the case, according to a news release.

Police said Sarah Lanter, an employee of the Midtown Expressmart Marathon, called 911 on April 24 and reported a man had robbed the store and fled on foot with cash.

However, an investigation and video surveillance footage showed Sarah Lanter knew about the plan to rob the store and that the robber was her husband, police said.

Police arrested the couple Monday. Sarah Lanter is charged with complicity to commit theft and falsely reporting an incident. Her husband is charged with theft and tampering with physical evidence, according to a news release.
