Louisville man faces misdemeanors after crashing car into Richmond store

A Louisville man was charged with several misdemeanors Thursday after crashing a vehicle through the window of a Richmond store.

Alexander S. Krinsky, 19, is charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, first-degree criminal mischief and failure to maintain insurance, Richmond police said in a release.

The crash was reported at 1:16 a.m. Thursday when Richmond police were called to investigate that a 2008 Ford Fusion had struck the University Shell Mart, 610 Eastern Bypass, and left the scene.

A short time later, a Madison County deputy sheriff stopped a vehicle matching the description of the car that crashed into the store, police said.

Krinsky was released from the Madison County jail after posting a $5,000 unsecured, third-party bond.
