Gun and auto used as weapons during fight between brothers in Lexington

Two brothers got into a fight about 11 a.m. Thursday outside 253 Breckenridge Street and ended up trying to seriously hurt each other.

Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said one tried to shoot the other, but missed. The other brother then hit the shooter with his vehicle, according to witness statements given to police.

The brother hit by the vehicle was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, Roberts said. Police did release the brothers' names.

No charges had been filed in the case as of Thursday afternoon, she said.
