Minivan hits woman at Rand Avenue and North Limestone

The 500 block of North Limestone was blocked off for about an hour Friday after a minivan hit a pedestrian.

Lexington police Lt. Chris Van Brackel said a green or silver 2000 Ford Windstar struck a woman on the corner of Rand Avenue and North Limestone just after 8 p.m.

The woman was injured when her head hit the ground, although the injury was not considered life-threatening, Van Brackel said. She was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.

Van Brackel said police were looking for the minivan, which is registered to a person in Lexington. The minivan’s license plate was 991-ANM.
