The Grant County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of 30-year-old man whose body was found Monday near the edge of a road.
The man's identity was withheld until relatives have been notified, the sheriff's office said in a news release.
Shortly before 5 a.m. Monday, the dispatch center received a call from a woman who said two men had called her and told her they had assaulted the man who was found dead. They told her that the man had jumped out of a moving vehicle, and they left him in a ditch.
A search by the sheriff's office and Williamstown police found the man's body in the 6200 block of Ky. 22 (Taft Highway).
A portion of the road was shut down for investigation, but it has since reopened to traffic, the sheriff's office said.
