A Laurel County man faces a manslaughter charge after a weekend four-wheeler accident in which a passenger died.
Stanley Hubbard, 47, is charged with driving under the influence and second-degree manslaughter, a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison. He is charged in the death of Mary Lou Allen, 47, of Laurel County.
Allen, a passenger on a Honda all-terrain vehicle, died Sunday in the accident in a wooded area off Dean Oakley Road about a half-mile west of London, said a news release from the Laurel County sheriff's office.
The ATV was traveling down an embankment when it turned over on top of Hubbard and Allen.
Allen was pronounced dead at St. Joseph Hospital London.
Hubbard was being held in the Laurel County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond. He is scheduled for a first appearance Wednesday morning in Laurel District Court.
