Inmate fails to return to Fayette jail

A warrant has been issued for an inmate who failed to return to the Fayette County Detention Center after being issued a court ordered pass on Tuesday.

The jail issued a news release Tuesday night saying that Trina Michelle Hurst, 31, was released at 8 a.m. and was scheduled to return at 4 p.m. but had not done so.

Hurst was being held on charges including probation violation, leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence on a suspended license and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.

Hurst is now wanted on a warrant for second-degree escape.

She was scheduled for release on March 19, 2012.

Hurst is white, 5'7" and 130 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts should call the Lexington police.
