A Letcher County couple is charged with 61 counts of possession of child pornography, the state attorney general's office said Thursday.
Martin Mosley, 28, and Clarissa Dawn Mosley, 23, were arrested Wednesday by Kentucky State Police. Martin Mosley was indicted on 52 counts of complicity to possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, and Clarissa Mosley was indicted on nine counts of that charge. Martin Mosley also was indicted on one count of distribution of child pornography.
The charges stem from an undercover investigation by the attorney general's cybercrimes unit that began in December 2009. Investigators executed a search warrant on Jan. 20 at the couple's home in Neon.
A Letcher County grand jury indicted the Mosleys in August, and the indictment was unsealed Wednesday after the couple's arrest.
The Mosleys were being held in the Letcher County jail, and no bond had been set as of Thursday afternoon.
All the charges are Class D felonies punishable by one to five years in prison.
