A Flemingsburg man was charged Wednesday with a rape that allegedly happened seven years ago, Kentucky State Police said.
Harold Scott Price, 56, was charged with first-degree rape and intimidating a participant in the legal process, a release from state police said. Additional charges are likely, police said.
State police in Morehead began investigating in July after a 17-year-old girl told investigators that Price raped her when she was 10.
The case was presented to a Fleming County grand jury, which issued an indictment against Price.
Price was arrested Wednesday morning in the community of Mays Lick in Mason County. He was being held in the Mason County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
The case is being investigated by detective Toby Gardner.
