An Elliott County man has been arrested in Ohio in connection with an investigation into the death of a Sandy Hook man, Kentucky State Police said Monday.
The body of Earl Ray Adkins, 48, of Sandy Hook was discovered Sunday afternoon outside his home along Ky. 650, state police said in a news release. Evidence revealed that Adkins was the victim of a gunshot-related homicide, police said.
A warrant was issued for the arrest of Bobby Gilliam, 31, of Sandy Hook, who was arrested Sunday by the Clinton County, Ohio, sheriff's office. Gilliam is being held as a fugitive in Ohio.
Upon his return to Kentucky, Gilliam is expected to face charges of murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and tampering with physical evidence, state police said.
