Officials still don't know how a Lexington woman died, just two days after being injured during a break-in at her home.
The autopsy results were inconclusive pending toxicology and other tests, according to a news release from the Fayette County Coroner's office.
Sheree Burd, 57, died two days after two men broke into her home, assaulted her and ransacked her house. Nothing was stolen, police said. She was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital with injuries that were reported as non-life threatening.
On Wednesday, Burd was found unresponsive by relatives.
Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said detectives have not classified the case as a homicide.
Roberts said Burd lived in half of a duplex and relatives lived in the other side.
"I believe she was next door at the family member's house in the days after the burglary," Roberts said.
