A Jeffersonville man escaped from the Bourbon County Detention Center on Tuesday while on work detail, Kentucky State Police said in a news release.
Gary Brooks, 30, was in prison for third-degree burglary. He walked away from his work at Bourbon County Park at 2:30 p.m.
Brooks was last seen wearing an orange shirt, blue jeans, camouflage hat and camouflage boots, according to state police. He is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with brown hair, a mustache and goatee. Anyone with information about Brooks may contact the state police at (859)-428-1212.
