Family argument in London ends in stabbing, police say

A family argument on Saturday morning ended in the stabbing of Ronnie Jervis, 39, of Hawk Creek Road in London.

Jervis was airlifted to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital in critical condition. He suffered multiple wounds, apparently from a pocketknife, according to the Laurel County sheriff's office.

Jervis' nephew Jeremy L. McClure, 25, of London, was charged with first-degree assault and taken to the Laurel County Detention Center. McClure had been staying at Jervis' house, according to Laurel County sheriff's detective Daryl Zanet, who is investigating the stabbing.
