Frankfort police seek tobocco-store robber who fired gun near clerk

Frankfort police are searching for a man who fired two shots toward a clerk during a tobacco store robbery Thursday night.

The man walked into the Discount Tobacco Depot on East Main Street about 10:13 p.m., according to a news release from Frankfort police.

The man, wearing a black mask, fired a gun at a wall near the clerk shortly after he entered. As the clerk was putting money in a plastic bag, the man fired again.

No one was injured. The man escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police said the man was between 5 feet, 11 inches and 6 feet, 2 inches tall. He weighs 180 to 200 pounds and was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with a white stripe down the sleeve, blue jeans and tennis shoes. He covered his nose and mouth with a black mask and wore sunglasses.
