Lexington police have launched a new law-enforcement Web site to identify photos of people involved in personal and financial crimes.
The site, IDThisPerson.com, allows users to view surveillance photos of people whom police need help identifying, Sgt. Jody Stowers said at a news conference Monday. Most of the images are of suspects in financial crimes, such as credit card or check fraud. However, some people are witnesses, and others might be involved in other types of crimes.
Tips are anonymous, but users have the option of agreeing to be contacted by police. A tip that leads to an arrest has a $25 payout.
