Security was increased for about two hours Thursday afternoon at the University of Kentucky Good Samaritan Hospital after the facility received a threat.
UK spokeswoman Kristi Lopez said extra security personnel were stationed at entrances to the hospital as a precaution, but the facility never went on full lockdown.
Neither hospital operations nor treatment of patients was interrupted, Lopez said.
