Laurel man injured at his home during robbery

A Laurel County man was injured Thursday night during a robbery at his home, according to a news release from Laurel County Sheriff John Root.

Police said a woman knocked on the door of the Eddie Vincent Davis' house, and when Davis opened the door, two men rushed in and assaulted him with a baseball bat.

The assailants stole money and prescription drugs from Davis, who is 51, according to the news release.

Davis was admitted to Saint Joseph — London Hospital for treatment, police said.

The robbery happened about 9 p.m. at the Williams Trailer Park in the Fariston community south of London.

On Friday, police identified the woman who knocked on Davis' door as Latasha Lynch, 21, of Laurel County.

Police were seeking Lynch for allegedly escaping from home detention, and want to question her about the robbery, according to the news release from Root's office.

Police asked that anyone with information on how to find Lynch call the Laurel County Sheriff's Office at 606-864-6600. Callers don't have to identify themselves.
