Police have charged a Marion County man with trying to kill his wife, according to a news release.
James C. Smith, 51, of Lebanon, allegedly tried to shoot his wife after an argument Saturday, state police said.
Smith's wife, Kathy Smith, was not injured and was able to wrestle the gun away from James Smith and escape the house with her daughter and a friend of the daughter, state police said.
Kathy Smith went to the Lebanon Police Department, where officers called state police at 1:14 a.m. Trooper Morris Farris arrested James Smith at the couple's home.
