Two people were injured Monday evening in a one-vehicle crash on the Western Parkway in Grayson County.
State police said the accident happened at 5:19 p.m. near the 119-mile marker.
Christopher R. Hamm, 26, of Clarksville, Tenn., was eastbound in a 2006 Toyota Tacoma on the Western Parkway when he fell asleep and his pickup drifted into the median and partially into the westbound lanes, police said.
Hamm overcorrected, and his pickup swerved back into the median and struck a concrete culvert. The pickup rotated clockwise and overturned several times before stopping in the median. His passenger, Jamee J. Barren, 18, of Clarksville, Tenn., was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital and later was flown to University Hospital in Louisville. Police said Barren might have a broken neck.
