Fugitive sex offender turns himself in to Fayette sheriff

The second of five fugitives wanted for failure to comply with the sex-offender registry in Fayette County turned himself in to authorities Tuesday.

Wayne Brian Wade, 55, turned himself in to Fayette Sheriff Deputy William Hoagland at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. In addition to the Fayette County charge of failing to comply with the Kentucky Sex Offender Registration Act, Wade faces the same charge in Jefferson County District Court.

Authorities are looking for three other fugitives wanted for failure to comply with the sex-offender registry in Fayette County.

Melissa Mae Brown, 36, turned herself in to authorities last week. The others are: Lane R. Weidner, Antonio Luis Angel Fuentes and Kenneth Martin.

The five were not found during recent compliance checks by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office. The sweep, which was called "Operation Bluegrass Corral," was led by the U.S. Marshals Service.
