Two suspects arrested one more sought in home invasion in Laurel

Police have arrested a man charged in a home-invasion robbery that happened in Laurel County in early December, Laurel County Sheriff

John Root said in a news release.

Michael W. Townsend, 25, of Lawrenceburg, is charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and first-degree assault.

Detective Daryl Zanet had filed charges against Townsend. State police arrested Townsend in the Morehead area, Root's office announced Thursday.

Joshua J. Campbell, 21, of Lawrenceburg, also has been charged in the case, but he has not been arrested.

The two allegedly barged into the home of Eddie V. Davis, 51, south of London on Dec. 8, assaulted him and took money and prescription medicine.

A woman whom police said knocked on Davis' door to help the two assailants gain access was identified as Latasha Lynch, 21, of Laurel County. She was arrested earlier on a charge of escaping from home incarceration, according to Root's office.

Police have asked that anyone with information on Campbell's whereabouts call Root's office at (606) 864-6600.
